Modern international hospital inaugurated in Bahria Town Karachi
KARACHI: A 120-bed
state of the art Bahria Town International Hospital has been inaugurated in the
Bahria Town, Karachi.
The inaugural
ceremony was organized at the Bahria Town, Karachi, where CEO of Bahria Town Ahmad
Ali Riaz
Malik inaugurated the hospital by unveiling its plaque. He was accompanied
by Vice CEO of Bahria Town Zain Malik, Mrs Ali Riaz Malik, Chief Operating Officer
of Bahria Town Admiral (retd) Ahmad Hayat and GM of Bahria Town International
Hospitals Brigadier (retd) Dr Muhammad Abid.
Addressing the
ceremony, Brigadier (retd) Dr Muhammad Abid said whereas the Bahria Town is
trying to provide exemplary lifestyle across Pakistan, health department cannot
be ignored. He said already under the Bahria Town International Hospitals,
three hospitals are working in Lahore and Rawalpindi. He said the first Bahria
Town International Hospital was established in 1997 from where millions have
benefited.
He said now in
Karachi, the Bahria Town International Hospital has been opened to public. This
120-bed modern hospital, Dr Abid said will offer 24-hour emergency and trauma
facilities. Besides, it will provide gastroenterology, cardio-thoracic surgery,
general surgery, urology, orthopaedic, neurology, liver disease, gynaecology,
mammography, ICU, CCU, NICU, radiology, ICG, MRI, CT scan, laboratory, blood
bank, X-ray, ICG, besides being equipped with other modern diagnosis equipment.
The presence of foreign-educated and trained doctors will ensure a
sophisticated round the clock care of the patients.
He said the Bahria
Town Hospitals besides offering complicated cardiac and cardiothoracic
surgeries is successfully conducting liver, kidney and cornea transplant. Dr
Abid said Pakistan’s biggest cochlear implant programme, which is a welfare
project, is another distinction of the Bahria Town International Hospitals.
He said it is an
earnest desire of the Chairman, Bahria Town, Ahmad Ali
Riaz Malik to introduce modern cyber knife surgery which will soon be
introduced.
He said this
hospital will prove beneficial to the residents of Bahria Town as well as to
the people of Karachi and Sindh. The hospital, he said will be run under Begum
Akhtar Ruksana Memorial Trust.
